Intellimouse Does Not Function in DOS Window

I have a MSFT Intellimouse Optical and it works fine in Windows but does not
respond at all in a dos window. It is connected to the PS2 port but I've
also tried it using the USB port. Any ideas?

I did on my old computer, but as this is a new computer I may have
overlooked that! I'll take a look and see. Thanks for the post!
