Intelide.sys (Q322359) hotfix needed

R

I need to obtain the "Intelide.sys" hotfix for swappable
drives. I'm having this problem and am using an Intel 875
MoBo withs SATA drives in a Supermicro hotswap bay. OS is
WinXP Pro, sp1 with all hotfixes.

It's talked about
here:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;322359

Can anybody help me, or tell me how to get a hold of
Microsoft support without having to pay for a call?

Follow the directions in the KB article to call support.
Also, notice the paragraph in the article that says the
following:

"Note In special cases, charges that are ordinarily
incurred for support calls may be canceled if a Microsoft
Support Professional determines that a specific update
will resolve your problem. The usual support costs will
apply to additional support questions and issues that do
not qualify for the specific update in question. "

So, if you need that hotfix, you won't be charged. The
only way to get it is to call though.

Nice. I'll give that a try. Thanks!

Called MS Professional Level Tech Support, explained the
situation and they sent me a link to where I could
download the hotfix. Took about 5 minutes. I've never
dealt with MS Support before and am very pleased with this
experience.
