Intel RAID - array destroyed on RC1, ok on Beta 2

I have a curious one. I try to install vista with the Intel Application
Accelerator RAID drivers onto a partitioned RAID 0 SATA array. Works fine on
beta 2 and the drives and partitions are found ok when I load the drivers,
install completes ok.

When I try it on RC1 it only finds the drive and not the partitions, then
throws an error. When I reboot my raid array has "Failed" according to the
raid bootup screen. Thankfully it is easily recoverable by just re-creating
the array.

I can only assume this is a bug in RC1 or a change to some driver requirement.

I hope this doesn't mean my 18 month old machine will be incompatible with
Vista. Anyone know a solution or workaround?

More information - the error I get is 80042453 and the array controller is an
intel 82801FR SATA Raid controller on a Dell 8400. I also have bootmagic
installed on a small hidden fat32 partition.

about trying to just install without raid

Nope. I ended up getting it going with non-raid (i.e. jbod) but started get
blue screened after startup. Stuck with XP in the end until intel releases
supported vista drivers (2008?).
