Intel Extreme Graphics 82845G

Hi

I have a new build of XPe SP2 where I have included the latest driver for
the Intel Extreme Graphics 82845G Graphics Card. I'm running a Resolution at
1064x768 True Color. Windows and most of the Programs look fine. But under
the Display Properties->Settings>->Advanced is a new Tab called Intel
Extreme Graphics which is added by the new graphics drivers. When I click on
this tab the text is bold and runs of the dialog screen, it is also cut off
.. There is also a Button called Graphic Properties, When this button is
pressed a new Graphic Settings Dialog is opened. This dialog is also not
shown properly. It looks like it takes the wrong font, a bold version which
then automatically resizes the dialogs to suit the new font.
Now, I could live with this but the same effect is also happening in our
Software which was developed in C++. Everything appears to big and it runs
off the screen.
When I do the same on XP Pro everything is ok. I also had a build of XPe SP1
which was fine.
I think that there is something wrong with or it is using the wrong System
Font.
How can I check and/or change this?

Thanks for your help

I had a similar situation and it was because of a problem with font
substitutions. I was able to fix it by using regedit on the key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\FontSubstitutes. Here you should make sure that the number
in the Data value is the same number as in the name of the font key.
Originaly I had a key called "Arial Cyr,0" with a Data value of "Arial,204".
I changed the key name to "Arial Cyr,204". I did this for all of the fonts
that had a number in the data value and it fixed my problem.

Hope you can follow this and that it helps.

Hi Jonathan

It worked!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you very much for your help. I think Brads way
would also be working but this way I didn't had to do a new build.

Thanks again for you help
