Intel Desktoop Utilities ?

Does anyone here have any familiarity with the product?

I just built up a new PC - Pentium D, 1 Gig, XP Pro - SP2 and current.

The Desktop Utility that came with the MoBo CD does not display CPU
temp or fan speed; but I can see both in the BIOS setup.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance...

There are many *free* utilities that will do this well.
Speedfan comes to mind.

However - as is pointed out on the page - most users will have no use for
such information. Only those 'power users' should be concerned with such
information... and in my opinion - it is only those who are wither
legitimately testing something or those who are strangely obsessive. *grin*

Intel has such a downloadable utility,try downloads,desktop boards,match
youre board to the same chipset, locate & install the utility. Also, make sure
you've installed the chipset installation utility 1st...

I beleive I have the latest for my board - came with it, and is the
same as on the Intel site, as far as I can tell. Tried SpeedFan - no
results - locates HD, but no temp or speed......

Ahanks for comments - any more ideas?
