I am trying to run a CD to do schoolwork (distance education) and XP is
telling me that I have insufficent memory to run this program. There are no
other applications running, a lot of processes are and I don't know which if
any I should end. Also, I cannot restore my computer to an earlier point.
Why is that? What should my virtual memory be set at? It is currently 1500
(min) - 2000 (max). I have 254 mb ram and an AMD 900 processor.

First thing to do is to completely remove all the viruses and spyware from your computer. That should solve your problem.

I tried everything and the cd still won't play. I got a new cd, it won't
play, but played both cd's in a second computer running XP. My computer has
played this cd since Sept. I don't understand why it quit now. Anymore
ideas?
