Diane & Bill:
Thanks for your combined efforts, I appreciate them very much. To Diane's
first: I originally let Beta uninstall Outlook 2003. Upon trying to uninstall
Office Pro Beta now, I received an error that stated there was a corrupt file
and it could not uninstall the program (!). That is a first for me. I then
downloaded a fresh version and tried intsalling over the original. Result?
Same problem.
To Bill's: I did stop the cidaemon.exe process, then went to Windows search
and unchecked indexing.
After completing all the above, I no longer get the "cidaemon.exe" error,
however, the WDS3 install continuse just fine until it gets to "Updating
Registry Keys", when the error comes up "Access denied" and WDS3 then
uninstalls itself.
Any other thoughts? I am determined to fix this.

I have successfuly installed the Beta and may I say the new GUI's are
particularly well done!! Upon opening Outlook, I get a dialogue box
offering
to install Instant Search. Upon agreeing, all goes well until the error
"cannot find clidaemon.exe". When I run the new diagnostic tool, it
advises I
have 2 versions of Outlook and to uninstall one. In Add/Remove, Outlook
2003
is not listed. Can anyone advise?
Thanks!
