instalment Problem

I wanted to install an application on XP but failed and a message appears and
says:

C:\Windows\System32\Autoexec.NT. The system file is not suitable for running
MS-DOS and Microsoft windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the
application.

My friends' PCs are working good with that program I wanna install.
CAN YOU SOLVE FOR ME THIS PROBLEM?

First of all, update and run your antivirus program and make sure that your computer is clean.
