I am having problems installing a program, (Quicken), it
is giving me an installshield error 1607. I searched the
Quicken FAQ's and reviewed my issue. I could not fix it.

How do I reinstall the InstallShield for Microsoft
Windows XP?

XP already supports the current Installshield so there shouldn't be a need
to reinstall it. The 1607 errors are usually due to a registry entry not
being exactly what the program's setup is looking for. The answer for your
problem lies with Quicken's tech support. They can tell you what value
their program needs and expects to find in the registry.
