Installshield failure

I'm having a problem running installing Photoshop. I've tried the the
installation on 2 other computers and it works fine. When I try it
using the problem computer I hit set-up (Installshield) - I get the
little hour glass and then it stops - Installshield does NOT start.
The task manager shows Installshield at the top - but no activity.
Sometimes - but not always - after attempting this - I get a WOWEXEC
not responding when I shut down.

Upon recommendation - I copied a new WOWEXEC into the problem computer
with the same problem. I also tried to install another version of
Photoshop and had the same problem - Installshield will not start.

Again - it tried - but didn't even start up a window.

Another suggetion which I have not tried is to copy ntvdm.* files from
another machine - thought I'd ask here before I ventured further.

Hi,

Copy the new ntvdm files, they work in concert with the wowexec.exe file as
part of the 16-bit subsystem.
