InstallShield Wizard problem

I'm having a problem installing most, if not all programs on my computer
that use the InstallShield Wizard. This includes programs that I may need
to uninstall and use this same program. It will start or even sometimes
finish and then it will freeze. If I open the Task Manager and click the
Applications tab, I see Not Responding for the program and I have to End
Task to get it to close. This all started when I had to go back to my
factory settings and start reinstalling programs. I have SP2 installed.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
