Installing XP with SP2 on an HP Notebook with SATA drives

I am trying to figure out a way to do a fresh install of XP on an HP Notebook
with 2 SATA drives. The problem I am having is that when the Windows
installer asks me to press F6 to install additional drivers when, it gets to
that point it seems that that the installer only know how to grab drivers
from a floppy and my notebook does not have a floppy. I have an external USB
hard drive and a Flash drive neither of which the Windows installers seems to
recognize.

The SATA controller is made by Intel 82801G and 82801GBM.

Since Windows XP with SP2 does not recognize my hard drives it seems that I
need to have the SATA drivers as part of the install package.

Can anyone make a suggestion how I can get around this problem?

Thanks

You either need to purchase a floppy, or slipstream the sata drivers into an
win installation cd
google should give many 'how to' hits

Hi,

I just wonder how do you know your SATA controller ?
Is it coming from your SATA harddisk ?
