I have a Dell Latitude C600 with a 10Gb hard drive which
is full. I have bought a removable 20Gb hard drive which
will fit in the bay that now has the CD drive. The current
operating system on the 10Gb drive is Windows 2000
Professional. I want to install Windows Xp Professional
(Upgrade) on both the interior and removable hard drives.
Based upon the Product Activation information, I will not
be able to install Xp on more than one hard drive. If I
cannot use the Xp (Upgrade)software more than once, I
would have to buy another copy of Xp (New install) in
addition to the Upgrade copy that I have already bought. I
would have to use the Upgrade software to upgrade the
existing interior hard drive from Windows 2000 and use the
New Install software to install Xp on the new removable
20Gb hard disk. Any thoughts?

You'll need a new license (Product Key) for each installation
of Windows XP on a different drive.

The End-User License Agreement states quite clearly:

"You may install, use, access, display and run one copy
of the Software on a single computer...."
