Installing XP as second Operating Systems

I have a 32-bit laptop with Windows Vista already installed and have
partitioned my C: drive. I now have a logical drive labeled "X:" to install
Windows XP, and I have an ISO image burned onto a DVD to install it.

How do I install XP onto this new logical drive?

Chris, how was the ISO image obtained? You probably will have legal
issues with MS.

Thank you for the web page, the instructions have helped. However, every time
I try to load the CD with the XP operating system for setup, I keep getting
the following error message:

"line 9986 of the INF file \i836\txtsetup.sif is invalid."

What does this message mean and how can it be repaired?

Chris, can you go back to where you got the ISO Image of WinXP and ask
for support there? The fact that you are trying to install an older OS
after Vista has been installed makes
it more of a problem. Ideally, WinXP then Vista would not be a problem.
