Installing windows XP on brand new computer

Hello, I'm trying to install Windows XP Pro on a brand new computer, here are
the specs.

200gb Western Digital SATA hard drive
3.2ghz p4 socket 775 cpu
2gb ddr400 ram
Intel D915GAV(L) mother board

I think that's all that's important.
Ok, Whenever I try to install Windows to the SATA hard drive, I get soem
sort of blue screen before it completes. I am able to get to the main part
and format the drive, but some time during the copying of files it always
crashed. I don't know why but the errors I usualy get are either no error,
just an explination that one has occured and I must reboot. something about
an error with a .SIF file line (different lines) and the most common beinh
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.

I never have had ANY problems installing windows before. this computer does
not have any operating system yet and I am having serious troubl einstalling
one. Is there soemthing I'm doing wrong? what else can I try? a little help
would be awsome.

Check for a damaged Windows XP CD..
Clean it with a soft cloth.

Check for a dmaged CDROM drive - use a different one if possible.

If you have more than one stick of RAM, move them around or remove some if
possible. (Bad RAM can cause issues.)

The XP cd I have is fine, it's brand new so theres no scratches, same with cd
rom... however there are 4 sticks of ram in there too, i'll try messing with
them.. A weird thing that's been happening. i'm not sure if it's the
motherboard or the ram. but when I have the computer off for a couple minutes
and turn it on, it goes fine no problems. but after its' on for a few mintues
and I reboot, I get Read/Write errors in the Ram test run by the system bios.
Any idea what that's about? why it'd pass off the bat when the computers off
but fail after its' been on for a few minutes? sound like a motherboard or
ram issue?

Thanks for your time :)
