We have recently purchased and have been given x-amount
of computers that had Windows 2000 Pro on them. In order
to make sure that each was properly licensed we have
purchased a like number of Windows 2000 Pro applications.
Is it possible to load the new Windows 2000 over the
existing Windows 2000 so that we don't lose any data ?

Yes, it's possible. However, you really should back up any
important data first, just in case something goes wrong. (And don't
forget to re-apply any service packs and hotfixes.)
