I've recently purchased a computer and installed vista on it. However, I was
forced to return it because of hardware problems. Does anyone know how to
deactivate Vista and installing it on a new computer?

Thanks

If it was OEM, next time you install and activate it and you are asked to
phone in, do so and explain what happened.. it will be activated by MS..

Same applies to Full retail..

There is no deactivation process. Install on the new system and if it
doesn't go through on the internet you'll need to make a phone call.
Explain what happened. They might allow the activation even if it was OEM.
If it's retail then no problem.
