Installing to second hard drive

I want to install RC1 to a multi-boot configuration to a second physical hard
drive . XP is on Drive "C" now, Vista RC1 will be installed on Drive "D". My
question is can I format drive "D" at the time that I install RC1? Also, can
I partition drive "D" at the time that I install RC1? Will I be able to use
the Vista install program to do these two functions?

Since you are familar with XP, use it to format D and create partitions on
it. Make sure you have 20GB available on at least 1 of the partitions. Before
you start installing Vista give names to your partitions (for example 'XP,
Vista, Data') because Vista may change the drive letters but it won't change
the names. That way you'll know for sure which is which. Vista will create
the multi-boot for you automatically.
