Dual Boot 32 Bit XP and 64 Bit Vista

My present configuration is dual boot XP and RC1 32 bit versions. (Both on
different physical hard drives).

I would like to run the 32 Bit XP installation in conjunction with a 64 bit
Vista install. the general advice at the time of the beta version was not to
boot from the Vista DVD but to install from within XP to preserve XP
capability.

Does this still hold true for RC1 or can I safely boot from the DVD, install
the 64 bit version of Vista and dual boot with 32 bit XP.

Thanks

Stewart

I'm not sure whether when you say 'in conjunction with' you mean you want to
retain the 32 bit version of Vista as well as having the 64 bit version and
XP. Anyway yes you can provided each operating system has its own adequately
sized partition. The 64 bit installation would be a Clean Install which you
can do from XP or by booting to the DVD. At one stage I had a quadruple boot
system - XP English/Spanish and Vista 32/64 bit. That worked fine. Colin

Thanks Colin. That answers my question. BTW are you in Salisbury UK? I recall
that Spire FM is the local radio station there.

I used to live in Salisbury, I'm in Guatemala now. Good luck with your
triple-boot! Colin

Cheers Colin. Likewise I used to live near Salisbury. Now just outside
Wellington, New Zealand. Small world. :)
