Installing slave drive

I have put in a a new hard drive and it is found in my bios
but not in xp when I restart I only have C drive and D
drive (CD rom) how can I get windows XP to find it?
 
You need to format it.

To do this, right click on My Computer, click Manage, click Disk
Management, right click on the new drive, create a partition, and format
it (NTFS is suggested). ;)

Well that makes it interesting. You can try a boot disk from
www.bootdisk.com to partition/format it, but I would suggest whatever
software came with the drive such as MaxBlast, etc. There is also this
Bootable CD that has all HD Software Programs for each HD Manufacturer:
