installing programs....

hello there...i dont know if this is the right place to
post a message about this but i have bought the roxio cd
creator platinum and as i was wanting to install it, it
gave me a wierd message saying "Error 1606. Could not
access network location <Common Administrative Tools>.
AllUsers\." i thought that it was from the file was
corrupted or something but then recently i downloaded the
new msn 6 the beta version it gave me the same message
please i need some help to work this problem iam new on
the xp thing...reply ASAP
