Installing programs so all users can access

I have a stand-alone computer w/ XP Pro. I have user
accounts set up for each family member. When I (as
administrator) install a program from my user account,
the other users can't open the program from their
accounts.
 
Greetings --

To solutions to this problem. (1) most of the time a shortcut to the program
just needs to be copied to the other accounts, so navigate to C:\Program
Files\<application name> and create a shortcut in the other accounts (2)
reinstall the program from within the other accounts.
