I use outlook for contacts and callendar functions but not e-mail.
I use thunderbird for e-mail
I cannot start outlook 2007 as it insists I set up an e-mail account.
I do not want outlook as my e-mail client.
how do I get around this?

Try setting up a mail account to get through setup but remove it once
Outlook has started once.

Cancel the email account and it will make it a no mail account.

thank you diane, that solved the prroblem. I previously started to set up an account and then cancelled - but that did not work.
Why make it so difficult in the first place?

I still had to TELL outlook several times during set up that I did not want
n e-mail account. Why have this double rigmarole?

But thanks anyway.

Now I get an error when outlook starts up
"Internet explorer script error"
Line: 298
Char: 1
Error: class not registered
Code: 0
URL: outlook today

Also I cannot sync with my IPAQ - even though I have downloaded and
installed active sync 4.5

I keep getting an error code
Support code 85010014

ACtive sync was fine with outlook 2002
