Installing Office 97 on XP????

Now on my computer 97 installs just fine and on another computer I have a
notice appears saying that XP can not install this version of Office 97. I
have this installed on other computers with XP Home.....can anyone give me
any insight as to why just one tells me it can not be installed?

What is the *exact* msg and when *exactly* does it appear

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32|AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running
MS-DOS and MICROSOFT applications. Choose Close to terminate the application
there are 2 buttons to choose from (CLOSE) and (IGNORE)....pushing either
one closes window and then you have to exit install

Look in your windows\repair folder

and copy autoexec.nt over to your system32 folder

I did find it there (after checking my other 2 computers) and just copied it
to the system32 folder and that took care of it
Just puzzles me why this unit and not the others
