Installing Office 2003

Is it alright or not advisable to deinstall Office 2007 on a Hewlett-Packard
PC with Windows Vista Home version so that Office 2003 Professional version
can be installed for a few months? After that time period, Office 2007 would
be reinstalled. I have heard pros and cons. Is Vista Home incompatible with
Office 2003?

THANKS for any input.

I run Office 2003 Student in My Vista Home Premium. I have 2 licenses so
that gives me 6 installs. I consider myself an Office Power user and have no
bad experiences on any of the 6 machines. (The other 5 are XP). I'll be
upgrading soon. No particular reason.

No, it's not incompatible and yes you can do that.

But why do you want to do this? If it's because of the new default
formats in 2007, like docx and xlsx, be aware that although it
defaults to those, you can easily save files in the old doc and xls
formats.

Just curious, how do 2 licenses give you 6 installs?

One licence for Home and Student allows the licensee to install the software
on THREE machines. Thus 2 licences = 6 installations.
