Installing latest version

3 weeks ago I installed MS anti spyware which expires Dec. 31 2005. I now see
there is a later version, am I to uninstall the previous one before
downloading the new one? I believe the new one is 1.0701, and doe's it work
like the earlier version?

You can go to http://www.microsoft.com/antispyware and click on update button
or you can wait until next week when the update will be available through the
regular MSAS update feature. There is no need to uninstall the previous
version.

I have run into the same problem and tried to solve it by download and re
install to no avail. Any help or answers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx a million CE. I downloaded it with NO problems, unusual for me. LOL It
totally overwrote the earlier version. Now I have to do hubby's. Have a great
day, and again, many thanx for the quick response......

No need to uninstall the current version--just download and run, and it will
upgrade. The new version appears identical to the current one, except for
the expiration date.
