Installing latest 8 updates stops GDS

Hi everyone,
I use WinXP (SP2) and autoupdate. I use win firewall and Norton with updated
virus def all the time.
After installing above updates (includes Software distribution2) Google
Desktop Search stops responding. I had same problem with MSN desktop search
as well.
Anyways, restoring computer resolve the problem.

I appreciate if someone could help me out here.

Install the updates one a at a time and test to see which one causes the
problem. Another option is uninstall/reinstall google desktop search
and MSN after the offending update is installed to see if that will fix
it, or uninstall both first, then install the updates, then install the
two programs.

The latest updates were released almost a month ago, so it's not clear
which one's you're talking about and software distribution 2 is a
generic term which says nothing about what the updates were.

Try uninstalling the Google and reinstalling.
