installing lame acm mp3 codec

when i try to install (right clicking the icon) all i did was show a copy
file dialogue, so i was unable to install it, so how to get lame acm mp3
codec to install?

necessary codecs for you:

I also have a problem with the audio for mpg files in VirtualDub. I'm
using 32 bit Vista.

You might get better help if you ask this over in the Vista newsgroups

That happens a lot with Lame. It does install very quickly but it's not
ready to use that way.

Usually programs needing it will have an ability to tell the program
where the file resides. You set that path and go to work. Have you
looked for that possibility?

Did you start with the zip or the exe? The exe is just a self
extractor, but it puts things where they strategically need to be, IME.

That's the extent of my knowledge for Lame.
