installing IP Printers on remote workstations

I am trying to find out if there is a way to install new
IP Printers onto Windows 2000 workstations remotely. We
are not running AD yet but are in the process of designing
the AD. We are still using Novell and are trying to move
off Novell Que printing and move to IP Printing but would
rather not have to visit each computer in the office to
install the new printers.

Thanks in advance for any help in this matter

I wouldn't configure printing directly from workstation to printer over IP.
Use a print server to host queues. This gives you more control.

Use Print Migrator 3 to perform a backup of the drivers and queues, in
addition to the backup from your regular backup software.

Once you have the printers set up on the server, with the appropriate
drivers, you can add printers using a script.

Hope this helps
