Installing folders on another workstation in a LAN

I know they are called "Local Folders", but can they reside on a mapped
drive on another workstation in my LAN, and if so how are they defined?

No. Windows Mail is not network aware, and any attempt to use
a non-local file location will likely result in database corruption.
