Installing An XP App (Turbo Tax) On ME

L

Len Krauss

The latest Turbo Tax software won't install on my WinME desktop. Reason
given is that WinME isn't supported. I knew that, but Turbo Tax insists on
XP or better. I have no intention of putting XP on this old iron. At some
point I will replace this old WinME desktop with a new one, but I don't have
the time to migrate and also want to wait until later this year for better
technology. Doesn't anyone know of a possible workaround that might allow me
to install this app?

Thanks,
Len

Purchase software designed for the OS you have, rather than
deliberately purchasing something that you knew wouldn't work.

Thanks for that most helpful workaround. You are obviously a genius with
this stuff. BTW I didn't know it wouldn't install at time of purchase.

You didn't bother to read the Systems Requirements on the outside of
the box before making the purchase? That's the very first thing one
does when purchasing software. Hopefully, the store will let you return
it. If not, you've paid a small price for an invaluable lesson.

Although, according to your original post, you DID know.

In your original post, you said, "The latest Turbo Tax software won't

supported. I knew that, but Turbo Tax insists on XP or better."
