Installing a program

I am the Administrator and only user of my PC...

I've downloaded programs that I need to install. However, as I do, a Message
pops up after accessing windows installer. : ^ The System Administrator has
set polices to prevent this installation.^ .. I have gone to my default
administrator and even tried to add another Adminis. But no luck. I’ve looked
at regedit and several other permission rights, but still the same message
pops up.

Any assistance appreciated.

Verify that the registry value DisableMSI under the key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer
is NOT set to 1 or 2 (if it doesn't exist, it will default to 0 for
WinXP or earlier)

If it is set to 1 or 2, change it to 0.
