Installing a cd

Each time I try to go start/run then click ok on the file I get a message
saying
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT the system file is nnot suitable for running
MS DOS and microsoft windows applications.
Others using XP Pro have installed this sucessfully onn their machines, I
also tried loading from the cd menu but same problem. Help please

Hi

Copy/paste that file from the windows\repair folder to the windows\system32
folder.

This is a remnant from a virus removal.

Fix
Copy the autoexec.nt and the config.nt files from "C:\Windows\Repair" into
the "C:\windows\system32" folder
