Hi,

I have a 64bit AMD PC with Windows XP Professional Edition running. If I
purchase Vista Ultimate upgrade edition will I be able to install Vista as
64bit Ultimate edition or should I purchase Vista Ultimate Edition Full?

The Vista Ultimate Upgrade package comes with two DVD's. One for 32bit and
the other for 64bit.
You can use either one.
Do your homework first. The upgrade doen't like some 3rd party applications.
It will tell you during
upgrade. Check for Vista drivers for your I/O (e.g. Video, Sound, etc.) Many
vendors don't have
final Vista drivers ready yet. Most have Beta drivers that work.

Good Luck,
Rich

You will have to do a clean install of Ultimate 64, but you are entitled to
do it with XP86 as the qualifying OS. Just remember that all drivers must
be 64-bit and are not as available as 32-bit drivers and some programs will
not run on 64-bit. Make sure drivers are available for your hardware, and
unfortunately there is no way to tell in advance if there will be a problem
with your programs.
