I'm rebuilding an older computer and puttinging in two new hard drives (160GB
and 250GB). I've installed WinXP and the SP2 patch (original patch, no
updates) on the 160GB. I don't want to connect to the internet until I've
got the basic programs loaded and a clean "copy" made of my C drive. The
problem is that I can't partition or format my 250GB HD. It shows up in
"Disk Management" but it will not allow me to make partitions or format. I
suspect it has something to do with 250GB size but I thought the basic SP2
release fixed that.
Does anyone know if the basic SP2 patch allows Windows to recogize a 250G HD
or do I need to "tweak" something? Thank you for the help. Mac
