Installer Components

We just upgraded one of our Desktops from WIn98 to Win
2000 Pro service pac 4 to accomodate some software sent to
us from the USTA.

There are three seperate downloads involved. THe first is
microsoft.net framework.

When I try to run this first install it gives me a message
"Microsoft.net framework setup needs to update the
microsoft windows installer componentsbefore setup can
continue. Proceed with installation?"

When I click ok I get the message
"Setup cannot access windows installer components setup
can not continue"

I was loggen in as Admin
Any ideas?

Try to install MSI 2.0 manually:

If that doesn't work, upgrading to SP4 (that will update MSI as well) is maybe
an option:
