Installed WinZip 8.1 now can't search contents of CABs

I installed WinZip 8.1 and mailed them the money to get it registered
but now I am not able to do a search that looks inside the contents of
any cab files since that installation. Hopefully once it is set up as a
registered copy I won't have this problem but until then I would like to
be able to seach the contents of my cab files again. What registry
change do I have to make to set it back to the way it was before I
installed WinZip 8.1 so I can use my system files to search inside of
the cab files and extract them if I want? It seems like I did not need
WinZip before to do the extraction but I can't remember for sure but the
main thing is I would like to be able to do the searches again. I tried
running regsvr32 cabview.dll but that did not fix the problem?

Try this:

Launch WinZip, click on Options > Configuration > System [tab], then click on the Associations button and deselect .CAB (CabView). Close WinZip.

If still no joy, reboot the system then try opening a cab file again.

I have it working now but one thing I don't understand that may have
been the main problem in the first place. When I try to restrict the
search to the *.CAB files the search does not work but if I don't put
anything in there and have it look through all the files then search
will find the file I am looking for in the cab. I wonder if that was
what my problem was all along? Oh well.
