The computer in question is a VYE S37B, which comes preloaded with
Vista Home Premium. The computer does not have a cd drive so to
install windows XP Pro could i install it off an external USB
CD/DVD drive?

Chances are with you that it will - chances are against you that
the proper hardware drivers will be available to work with Windows
XP.
