....compatibility problems please.

I can't get Vista Beta 2 to install without running it in safe mode. It
sucks, even when I install it it has problems running at all, crashes at boot
unless it's at safe mode or run last good configuration. Here is my system:

ASRock 939 SATA 2 (With the sata2, gameport and onboard sound disabled)
Radeon 9700 Non-pro
Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer
2GB RAM
Athlon 64 3200+ overclocked to 2.4ghz

The ethernet port is an onboard ULi brand network adapter and I also have
one of those magic 5 extra USB port PCI cards. Any idea what could be causing
the problems? Windows XP and Linux run fine, I am running it on a dual boot
XP/Vista configuration and have tried both 64-bit and 32-bit versions, even
though I'd rather use the 32-Bit version for the drivers.

Apart from the graphics card and the fact I have a Athlon64 3500+, we
have exactly the same kit and it works fine for me to the point where I
completely ditched XP.
If you go to Asrocks website and download the version 3.51 LAN drivers,
they support Vista for the LAN. The link is here:

http://download.asrock.com/drivers/ULi/LAN/Lan_Vista(v351).zip

The onboard sound drivers then get installed via Windows Update.

Just to add...

If you overclock the CPU, VISTA WILL NOT WORK. I think this is due to a
BIOS limitation in reporting the CPU when overclocking.
