Installation Question

Hello: I am trying to upgrade from Windows '98, but keep
getting error messages about " .... has encounterd a
problem and needs to close. The files are: rczqn.exe and
winupd.exe.

Is there something I can do?

Perhaps your 98 system isn't compatible with XP.

Windows XP Readiness Test sites

Sites that test your system for XP readiness. If software
or a device driver fails the test, research negative
results at the particular manufacturer's website.
Microsoft.com also provides XP compatibility information. -

If there is a BIOS update that came out just before or
after XP came out in August 2001, reflashing your BIOS
with it might help.
