installation problems

I tried to install Windows XP on my computer today and
this is the error message I got:
Setup cannot copy D:\1386\mfc42.dll to
C:\WINDOWS\setup\mfc42.dll
Setup cannot continue..error F9FF58h.

Anyone have any idea what this means and how to fix it??
