Installation Problem EPSON TM-U220D on WIndows VISTA (32 Bits)

I installed a TM-U220D on Windows Vista (32 Bits) usin a USB TO SERIAL Cable
Adapter....When I Finished the installation and I'm trying to use the printer
....I can't print....Then I go to de control panel - printer ....I see that
the printer has a message "NOT AVAILABLE"...I downloaded the drivers last
version according www.epsonexpert.com ..... Can You Help me ?

what are the comport setting on the serial port. It's hard enough to get
all the settings properly configured for reliable serial printing. Throwing
in a USB to serial converter, wow!

I suggest finding an old machine with a serial port and getting it to work
this way first. Then see if the USB to serial converter works for this
device.
