Installation of XP from DOS mode

I formated my disk and then try to install XP from mode.
After I run winnt, everything seems ok, the files were
copied to my disk, but when I restart my computer to
continue XP setup, the system warn "opterating system not
found". I can't explain it. anybody can help me?

Why install from DOS. Boot from the XP CD and install from there.

make sure the hdd is enabled in your boot order in bios

Also, make sure you reformat the hard drive with a full NTFS format.
