installation of .Net Compact Framework

Hi,

How do I install .net Compact Framework on PocketPC 2000
and 2002.

When I deploy sample smart Device application from .Net
Framework using C# to PocketPC, it checks whether the .Net
Compact Framework is already installed on PocketPC, if not
it installs it first n then deploys the application. But I
want to install .Net Compact Framework, before starting my
application deployment on PocketPC. Could any one please
help me out how to install .Net Compact Framework (not as
a part of Application deployment)?

Try either the "Microsoft® .NET Compact Framework 1.0 SP1 End User
Redistributable" or the "Microsoft® .NET Compact Framework 1.0 SP1 Developer
Redistributable" available here:

I have downloaded "Microsoft® .NET Compact Framework 1.0
SP1 Developer Redistributable". If I try to install this,
it gets installed on the host computer not on the
PocketPC. But I want to install .Net Compact Framework on
PocketPC. If you have any information on this, it would be
highly appreciated.

Jyoti, you can either copy the appropriate CAB from this installation
(Developer Redistributable) to your Pocket PC and then run it or you could
use the "Microsoft® .NET Compact Framework 1.0 SP1 End User
Redistributable". This will install to your desktop and then deploy the .NET
Compact Framework to you Pocket PC via activesync.
