installation of cam :(

I was able to successfully install the cam, I can use my cam on messenger, I
can create videos however I cannot take a picture when I do this is the
message I receive. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and now I am just
confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked the manufacturer's website to make sure the drivers and the
software for the camera are the latest and XP compatible?

I did and all is up to date. I think the problem exists between the chair
and the keyboard

The error is indicative of some problem in the software. If it's not the
software directly, perhaps it is in conflict with something else on the
system but sourcing that is a step by step process.
