Installation is forbidden by system policy

Hello
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question.
My problem is that when installing Autodesk Inventor on my PC. I keep
getting a error dbx showing the message "Installation is forbidden by system
policy. Contact your system administrator, H:\support\msxml6\x86\msxml6.msi
I have XPS2 and have check all my local settings in control
panel>Administrative Tools>Local Security Policy >Audit Policy, User Rights
Assignment and Secutirty Options, but cannot see anythng that would stop the
install.
The company I purchased the software from have not been able to solve the
problem.

Anyone out there able to assist me

Hi BrianW

I'm also an Inventor user. Just a tip... not sure if you know or not, but
you probably do. You are supposed to be logged into your pc as the
administrator. I know because my software suppliers told me that he had a
major issue with Windows Vista since it is set by default that the user is
not logged in as an administrator.

Basically perhaps just make sure you are logged in as an administrator and
that you have administrative rights, although, I'm not sure whether this will
solve your problem though.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I am logged on as an administrator. My problem
was to do with a corrupted install or service pack of XML . Took me a couple
of days to get sorted but got there in the end. The way I got around it was
installing the downloaded version from microsoft
