Install66.exe

I have recieved several e mails form Microsoft site that
have told me about an update. My Norton scans the e mail
and says it is infected with Istall66.exe virus. I have
been on the update site and no updates are availible for
my machine at this time. Is it a genuine update or a
virus any help please is appreciated.

It's bogus, delete it.

MS will not email you with a patch directly.

A devious sender is "spoofing" Microsoft and attempting to deceive you
into installing a malicious VIRUS in your computer! Delete the VIRUS
laden message immediately!

The "proof" is Microsoft never sends file attachments with email messages!
