After I installed XP, I noticed that the system stored
all of my old files on the hard drive. There are the
programs files, etc. Although the program files
selection on the start menu does not show the old program
files. How do I get rid of the old stuff completely?

Why does XP do this?

You did not perform a clean installation - DELETING the old partitioning and
CREATING all new partitions. Windows XP did not do this - you did it. heh
