Hello,

I've got a problem installing XP home oem (dutch incl. sp1)
i'm re-installing xp on a clean partition (not formatted)
when booting from the cd i enter a blue screen with the follwoing text
in the left upper corner:

Windows setup
=============

And that's it. useually you get the choise for installing 3rd company
driver with F6 but that is not even comming....the install hangs from
here after a coule of seconds you can hear the dvdrom stops spining.
I borrowed a simular xp-disc from my neigbour to test if my cd was
corrupted but the same problem occurred.

The strang ething is I can get XP Prof. to install but that is an
illigal copy and that is not what I want. So I removed the partition
again and created it again.
I tried again to install it with my CD but no luck....same problem

My config:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
MSI K8TM board
Dane-Elec Dimm 2*512mb
XFX Geforce FX 5700LE 256MB
HDD1 Maxtor DiamopndMax Plus 9 200GB SATA150
HDD2 Hitachi Deskstar 7K250 160GB ATA100
Lite-On DVD rom
NEC 2510 DL DVD+/- R(W)
Sweex modem 56k, intern PCI
MSI TV Anywhere Master.

Please help me getting my PC up and running!

Thank you

I found the solution.
I'm putting it here, incase someone should google for the simular
problem in the future.

I've deleted the partition
Then I rebooted my pc with the xp cd in the dvdrom
and voila setup is running as usual.

Cheers

Jerry
