hi i want to know how to install windows xp when you are starting your
computer up not when you log in because i use a windows 2000 computer and i
can't go on it the computer could just start up and show a stop error

Just boot off the xp cd, you might have to setup the option to boot from the
cd in the bios if its not set already. The other thing you can do is just
post the stop error message and just resolve that.

Simply boot from the WinXP installation CD. You'll be offered the
opportunity to delete, create, and format partitions as part of the
installation process. (You may need to re-arrange the order of boot
devices in the PC's BIOS to boot from the CD.)
